Callin’ out around the world, are you ready for a brand new beat? BLF’s here and the time is right for dancing in the street.
They’re dancing in Biggar, down in Thankerton, in Symington…all we need is music, sweet music…there’ll be music everywhere… That’s right folks. Biggar’s finest, the Dukes of Uke, sprinkle their usual magic ukelele dust over the sensational catalogue of Motown. Always a hot festival ticket…book early to avoid disappointment! Tickets £15

The Dukes' Musical Director Ian Murray, local bass player Alex Marfinescu and the Dukes of Uke invite you to join them in another sing along ukulele workshop. The Dukes' concert takes place later the same day so why not come for both events. This is a session for people who have been through the beginner stage with an emphasis on playing rather than on teaching. Mostly simple chords, a couple of new challenges here and there, but with useful pointers on trickier aspects. Bring a music stand if you have one plus the Dukes’ Songs Books 7, 8, 9 and 10 if you have them (copies will be available if you don’t). |
